we visited the area of france called 'luberon' last week while my parents were here on vacation. the towns were so beautiful and usually built on top of very large hills or mountains. the views were incredible. the bed and breakfast we stayed at was so magical...the area is where they filmed the movie 'a good year' and the setting for the book 'a year in provence'. it was so lovely that we will definitely take another trip to see it again.
we took my parents to the airport yesterday in barcelona and stopped by a beach on the way back...no sand, just pebbles and rocks...but the water looked incredible, as you can see. it was quite cold though, very refreshing since the temp was around 95.
cadaques is a small fishing village in spain where salvador dali lived. it was so charming and so beautiful at night...dali's house was so strange, looked like graceland :) on the way there, we saw so many wind turbines...they're big on sustainable energy here...and fields and fields of sunflowers.
