I R E L A N D route

ireland was truly amazing...we flew into dublin and left for the south on monday evening and stayed in macroom, not far from cork. on tuesday we drove around the ring of kerry, where every site is picturesque. i was amazed with all of the plant life. i expected greenery, but i didn't expect all colors of flowers and enormous, almost tropical leaves. their hydrangeas were yellow, green, white, pale pink, magenta, violet and deep purple - i have never seen anything like it! small little waterfalls coming down the sides of mountains, goats and sheep all over. we then made our way up to roscommon, in the west. and finally made our way to dublin on wednesday afternoon. dublin was great to see, but not one of my favorite cities...it can be very depressing in the rain and gloom with no greenery to cheer you up. but the people are truly the friendliest people you will ever come across. it of course rained the entire five days, but we wouldn't have had it any other way.
