Apples + Aronia Berries

This weekend, I was missing the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Ohio, so we decided to check out Nebraska City's AppleJack Festival.
Ohio 1 Nebraska 0.  No apple dumplings or apple fritters...

Then it was onto Sawmill Hollow for the Aronia Berry Festival...also known as the Black Choke Berry.

Nexus of the Universe

This is one of my favorite Seinfeld NY moments...Kramer thinks he's in a long distance relationship because his girlfriend lives downtown, and he is of course living on the Upper West Side.  He gets lost at the Nexus of the Universe (where 1st Street meets 1st Avenue).  LOVE this!!!

Seattle

Heath and I made a trip to Seattle a couple of months ago and fell in love with the Public Market...

Beautiful fresh flowers, every fruit + vegetable you can imagine plus some amazing local eats.

Does this restaurant look familiar?  As soon as we walked in I knew where I'd seen it before...
One of my favorite movies.
And of course I had to see what the original Ace Hotel looked like...very small but still very stylish.

Nebraska Wine

This weekend we visited a Nebraskan winery...who knew?  Heath wasn't exactly thrilled with the wine but the ambiance was worth it.
They have these adorable tents you can rent for the night...this is my kind of camping...a full size bed inside!

Silkscreening

I'm completely fascinated by silkscreening.  Last week, my friend Alexia had a fundraiser for her clothing company, Autopilot Art, with free silkscreening.  It was pretty dark inside, so my pictures aren't amazing, but you get the idea.

Last weekend of summer

Enjoying our last time at the pool this year...we had the entire pool to ourselves.
McKenzie's 15th birthday dinner with his girlfriend, Haley.
A beautiful butterfly in York, PA...It is entirely covered in polka dots!
