Charleston

We just spent 5 days in Charleston with my family...beautiful scenery, great food + lovely beaches.

Yes, the water is a greyish, green color, but it's warm and extremely inviting. A pleasant surprise!!!

2nd Anniversary in Turks

We just spent the most wonderful long weekend in Turks for our anniversary...we saw all the familiar faces at The Palms, and were even welcomed 'home' by two of the locals. The lovely people at our hotel sent us a cake to celebrate.

Ahhhh....zen.

Here's Grace Bay Club....where we had our wedding. It's so beautiful at night.

And The Gansevoort, which just opened a year ago.

And best of all....Amanyara. This is by far the most beautiful place I have ever seen with the most amazing food I have ever eaten. After dinner, we asked to see one of their rooms. We were beside ourselves. Take a look at their site...mind blowing!!!! It took 30 minutes to get there from our hotel and most of the roads were unpaved. It's a trek, but so worth it!

Miami Standard Sundays

Today is the Summer Solstice and it's cloudy and rainy here in Omaha...which makes me wish we were still in Miami enjoying the Standard Hotel's Sunday gatherings. Every Sunday they have what they call Love Life Sundays - which combine yoga, food, dance + culture. Here is a small clip of one of their celebrations...
