Vegan Mofo

This month is Vegan Mofo, or Vegan Month of Food. This month on Eat Pure, I'll be posting 5 days a week on all things vegan. It all leads up to November 1st, World Vegan Day. I've also discovered Random Mofo which features a different Vegan Mofo blog each time you refresh. Lots of great ideas + inspiration. Happy vegan eating!

Beach Polo World Cup

Last Sunday, we attended the World Cup of Women's Beach Polo in Chicago. 

It was beautiful weather, the perfect fall day to be at the beach.

We also visited the Brooklyn Flea. We've been to the location in Fort Greene, but really wanted to visit the Williamsburg location right on the water.

And then took the East River ferry back to Manhattan. I continue to be amazed at how beautiful New York is.

On the other side of the East River, South Street Seaport is another area we love. The buildings and streets are brick, and all of the businesses have a similar refined industrial theme.

Keg 229 is a fantastic little bar/restaurant with a great interior.

I love the red barstools!

Boardwalk Empire Train

Two weeks ago, we got the chance to ride on an NY subway car from 1917. It was to promote the new season of Boardwalk Empire. We had to run to catch it, but it was worth it. Wicker seats, ceiling fans, wood accents, nice graphics.

91st St Garden

We're spending the weekend in NYC and I thought I'd share a few pictures so far.

The 91st Street Garden is a beautiful garden in Riverside Park (mentioned in the movie You've Got Mail). It's the perfect example of organized chaos.

And we met our good friend John in Hoboken, NJ. The view of the city is spectacular!
