New York in Spring

Weekend visitors

This weekend my family came to visit us in Chicago...

Before moving here, we'd never spent much time in the city so most things are new to us, including Navy Pier + boat tours :)

My nephew is the one with red pants and his eyes firmly closed.

We also got to experience Giordano's deep dish pizza + Sprinkles cupcakes...those pics will be up on Eat Pure in the coming weeks ;)

Brimfield

Heath and I went to an amazing store last weekend called Brimfield. They cover antique furniture in beautiful plaid and pattered blankets.  They'll cover pretty much anything you want - we're already thinking about chairs, tufted stools + pillows for our apartment.

Grilling season

It's finally warm enough to grill!  We got a new grill this year and added some wood flooring to our concrete balcony.

This is our beautiful view.

Here are our kebabs...red and green peppers, red onions, cherry tomatoes and for me - Gardein soy chicken with lemon pepper, for Heath - shrimp and scallops.

Yum!

St Patricks Day

In Chicago, they celebrate St Patricks Day by dyeing the river green...

a brighter green than normal at least :)
