This weekend, we had the pleasure of seeing Phoenix for the second time and they completely outdid themselves. It was so energetic and so much FUN!

MAHA

This weekend we attended the MAHA Music Festival in Omaha.  Our tickets were courtesy of Trocadero (Thanks Alice!!!!)  It was such a beautiful day with lots of great music.  On the bill...Spoon, The Faint, Superchunk, Old 97s, Ben Kweller, It's True, Satchel Grande, The Mynabirds.

Here's a video of The Faint.  They're native to Omaha, and it's the first time we got to see them live.  They were AMAZING.  By far, my favorite act of the day.  And we were so excited to see our friend Jacob on the keyboard :)

Bulldog

We recently had the sweetest bulldog in our apartment for a photo shoot...and I want him.  I have always always wanted an English bulldog and unfortunately we cannot have dogs in our building.  Next time we move, he will be mine.  Oh yes, he will be mine.

This sculpture exhibit in the Flatiron District is going on through August.  These sculptures have been placed atop various buildings in the area.  They're kind of creepy.

Charleston

We just spent 5 days in Charleston with my family...beautiful scenery, great food + lovely beaches.

Yes, the water is a greyish, green color, but it's warm and extremely inviting.  A pleasant surprise!!!
